The Ford Kuga gets a new diesel lump in two flavours for 2010/2011
It shouldn’t come as a much of a shock that Ford are sticking new diesel engines in the Ford Kuga. We reported back in February that the Kuga was due an engine transplant with the Mondeo also in line for some new oily bits. Ford sent us details of the new Mondeo engines for 2011 last month, and now its the turn of the Kuga.
The Top Gear Three Wise Men Cars are now on display at Beaulieu
That didn’t take long. Despite the Top Gear Christmas ‘Three Wise men’ Road trip only airing on the Beeb yesterday – and the whole Top Gear Iraq to Bethlehem episode only being filmed in October – it’s been revealed that the cars that starred in the Christmas Special have already found their way off to the World of Top Gear exhibition at Beaulieu. The whole ‘World of Top Gear’ at Beaulieu is a ‘must-see’ for the proper Top Gear anorak, with everything from a recreation of the Top Gear Studio – including the Cool Wall – to a collection of cars from some of Top Gear’s most ambitious challenges over the years.
Ayrton Senna’s Honda NSX (pictured) is expected to fetch £75-85k
Ayrton Senna was arguably the greatest F1 driver of all time, and his death 20 years ago at Imola sent shock waves through the sport and deprived F1 fans of more years of Senna’s driving prowess. But driving F1 cars wasn’t the only thing Senna did; just like today’s F1 drivers he was also involved in road car development, and during his time with McLaren he was a part of Honda’s (engine suppliers at the time for McLaren) development of the original NSX. So any Honda NSX with a clear link to Senna can reasonably expect to be a desirable car for collectors and F1 fans to acquire, and the Honda NSX up for grabs at Silverstone Auctions’ sale next month has a very clear Senna link.
